For parents of children young or grown up, this weekend offers a chance to explore how the practice of Council can support us in navigating the challenges of parenting—especially the tender terrain of guilt, shame and or regret – with greater awareness, empathy, compassion and connection.

The Way of Council is a timeless practice – both ancient and modern – that fosters deep, honest communication and authentic connection. In a circle of respect and equality, Council invites us to speak from the heart and listen with full attention. This is a practice for anyone longing to slow down, listen deeply, and be heard in a meaningful way.

In Council, you will:

  • Listen with presence – beyond judgment, opinion, or distraction
  • Speak your truth – from personal experience, with honesty and care
  • Build trust and understanding – even in the midst of challenge
  • Strengthen relationships – with compassion, inclusion, and clarity
  • Rediscover community – through shared humanity and mutual respect

In a world that often feels hurried and fragmented, Council offers a space to reconnect – to yourself, to others, and to what truly matters.

From this place of safety, support, and connection, we invite our sharing of the very real challenges that can arise in parenting – especially if you live with a child who struggles with mental health, who has a long-term illness, or if you are someone who has lost a child or been estranged or separated from them.

If you carry feelings of guilt, shame, or resentment, you are not alone.

Through the practice of Council, we open a door to gently welcome the shadow of unspoken emotions — finding healing, acceptance, and community in the shared stories of our lives.

Start: Friday at 6.30 pm, Finish Sunday by 5 PM,
