Fleet Maull, PhD has been a holder of the Way of Council and Council Trainer since 2004, having trained with Jack Zimmerman and Gigi Coyle at the Ojai Foundation. Fleet has been facilitating Council since 2001 and training Council facilitators for the annual Zen Peacemaker Bearing Witness Retreat at Auschwitz-Birkenau since 2004. He has trained Rwandan genocide survivors who serve as para-trauma counselors at the grassroots village level as council facilitators. He regularly trains correctional officers and other law enforcement as well as prisoners and prison volunteers in the Way of Council. He trained over a thousand Naropa University students in Council Practice and over a thousand activist and leaders through the Integral Peacemaker Training he co-directed in Boulder, Colorado for seven years. Fleet incorporate council practice into all of his work in the criminal justice, chaplaincy and end-of-life care fields, as well as his consulting work with nonprofit and for-profit enterprises. Fleet is the founder of Prison Mindfulness Institute, the Center for Mindfulness in Public Safety, National Prison Hospice Association and Windhorse Seminars & Consulting.  He is co-founder of the Engaged Mindfulness Institute (formerly the Peacemaker Institute), the Mindful Justice Initiative, the Buddhist Chaplaincy Training at the Upaya Institute in Santa Fe, NM and the Rwandan Bearing Witness Retreat and Peace Initiative. He is the author of Dharma in Hell: The Prison Writings of Fleet Maull and the forthcoming Radical Responsibility: How to Move Beyond Blame, Fearlessly Live Your Highest Purpose and Become and Unstoppable Force for Good.
