Alexis works with groups and individuals as a mentor, facilitator and guide. She has been practicing Council since her introduction to the Ojai Foundation in 1999, where she currently serves on the Advisory Board. Alexis has shared the practice of Council in a variety of settings, including women’ s circles, permaculture trainings, veteran retreats, public and private schools, youth groups, non-profits locally and internationally. Alexis is a wilderness and vision fast guide honoring the wisdom of indigenous traditions and the natural world. She has created and led a variety of rites of passage programs for youth, as well as other nature based programs for adults. Alexis holds a BA in psychology from UCLA and a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Adjunct faculty at Antioch University. She is based in Santa Barbara, CA.
