We humans are social animals; we need effective ways to:
- share our experiences and feelings, and find that we are not alone,
- spend time in spaces that are conducive to healing and growth.
And as groups and communities, we need ways to:
- explore and resolve conflicts and tensions;
- make wisdom-centred decisions with integrity;
- co-imagine and co-create our futures.
The practice known as the Way of Council, is a means to recover these essential skills and values. A modern expression of ancient and universal practices, we come together as equals, in a circle, speaking our truth, one at a time, and listening from the heart, without judgement.
This is an online introductory course for those who want to begin to facilitate groups in this way, or simply participate in them more fully.
Previous courses have delighted prison chaplains, teachers, psychologists, work teams, leaders of women’s groups and men’s groups, conflict mediators, trustees of charities, and members of communities.
Spread across 2 weekends, the course is an experiential journey of discovery, undertaken in a small group (usually 6-8 participants).
Each weekend features four, live & interactive 2-hour sessions, delivered via Zoom:
Weekend 1: December 2nd/3rd
Weekend 2: December 9th/10th
Note: sessions are 4pm-6pm & 7pm-9pm UK time each day, to suit N.A. & European time zones
