The ancient practice of Council, sitting in a circle, speaking and listening from the heart, can enrich any
relationship—at home, in the workplace, and in community. Council is widely used in public and private
schools, prisons, social justice organizations and communities around the world. The workshop is designed
to cultivate and support ways to enrich the relationships in your life, both personal and professional, by
fostering attentive listening, spontaneity, authentic expression and inspired cooperation. Together we will
explore open, heartfelt expression and attentive listening—gateways to deeper communication, intercul-
tural understanding and the nonviolent resolution of conflict.
Council is simple, no script to learn, not another technique to master, rather it is a way of
re-membering, a putting together again of our fragmented selves, relationships and communities. Above all
it is the experience of the Circle with the Empty Center which draws us, like the moth to the flame, to journey together into the mystery of our Being. We invite you to join us for a memorable day of Council.
