    Lori is a licensed marriage and family psychotherapist with an emphasis in depth psychology – an orientation that honors the numinous process of listening to the urgings of the soul. Lori is trained in Hakomi therapy, art and sand tray therapy, movement modalities, as well as talk therapy. She is an accomplished facilitator in a variety of ceremonial traditions and has deep roots in the arts. Over the last several decades, Lori has led council circles and council trainings for the Ojai foundation throughout southern California and in Mexico City for children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, Lori develops and leads rites of passage ceremonies, mother/ daughter circles, grief groups, and she teaches sexuality education in 6 Los Angeles schools. She is a songwriter and a singing storyteller with national awards to her credit. Lori was the founding director of an independent elementary school where the practice of council was the central seed from which the culture grew. To renew herself, Lori dances the 5 Rhythms, writes music, practices yoga, and spends time in nature with her dog.
